Rockwood Thunder is a member of Gateway Region Volleyball Association, one of 40 regional governing bodies in the US. The region covers the southern half of Illinois and eastern half of Missouri.

How To Prepare For Club Tryouts
1. REGISTER NOW U15-U18
Girls 7/25-7/27- ($35 tryout fee)
REGISTRATION OPENS FEB 2
Online registration closes at Noon the Friday prior to each tryout weekend. Only one registration required for West/South tryouts.
2. KNOW YOUR AGE GROUP
Click here to verify and confirm your age group!
Tryouts are open to all athletes who meet the Gateway age requirements. Rockwood Thunder will not accept waivered players.
3. PRINT THE FOLLOWING FORMS AND BRING WITH YOU

Please make sure all paperwork is filled out when your child comes to check in.
4. ARRIVE EARLY!
Please arrive 20 minutes early to turn in paperwork, get photo taken, and get dressed.
What are coaches looking for in a player at tryouts? Attitude, Athleticism, Adaptability, Coachability, Competitive Edge, and Potential. Some coaches are assigned to run drills, other coaches are dedicated to evaluation.
5. COMMITMENT NIGHT
Once you have been selected & committed to a team, you will be provided more information regarding commitment night from your coach.
